My name is Hugo Almeida( Barney ) and i’m from Brazil, Recife-PE. I have been doing Capoeira in Brazil one year with Mestre Perna Pesada from the group Capoeira Chapeu de Couro. Perna Pesada is doing Capoeira for more than 20 years and he has travelled in Europe doing batizados and workshops.

Mestre Perna Pesada is doing some workshops in Hallifax and Ottawa with the contra-mestres Azeitona and Fabio Cuencas from the group Dende do Recife. When i heard about that i had a great idea with my friend Humberto to bring him to Toronto. We have arranged a workshop here with him. At the workshop there will be capoeira merchandise that you will be able to purchase and he is going to pass to the students (beginners, intermediates, advanced) his knowledge about capoeira.
